It’s interesting seeing a scan of the Liverpool Student, I found a filing cabinet full of old editions from around 2003/2004 in the Guild where there are now some Macs for audio/video editing.

It’s such a shame that the University’s students currently have no physical media, Liverpool Student flopped a year or two before I joined the Uni, and Sphinx magazine only lasted a year. The closest thing we have to it at the moment is the website I designed and help run, http://liverpoolstudentmedia.com, but that’s no substitute for something you can pick up and read when you’ve got time to kill on campus.

Hi Gerry, we actually had an interview with Jon Snow in the newspaper that commemorated the sit-in ten years ago.

Snow remembered it very fondly. Will have to see if I have that with me in Liverpool – I’ll dig it out if so.

Robin, I read this with interest. At the moment I’m producing a WordPress blog (http://senatehouseoccupation.wordpress.com) that chronicles the events surrounding the occupation of Senate House at Liverpool Uni – soon to have its 40th anniversary. How long before they discover another WordPress blog they don’t like and press for it to be taken down?
