I agree boy-o – Howie is boss and I think if you re-read my review it’s certainly pretty complimentary. My references to the hardships Howie has been through were simply supposed to show how resiliant he has been.

HOWIE PAYNE IS BOSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i’ve never seen anyone get sound like that out of one acoustic guitar, howie is boss he has always been able to hold a crowd but as a musician its phenomenal to see someone hold a crowd like that alone with just one acoustic, it really goes to show you talent is talent and howie puts lesser craftsmen to shame, he is a real music head’s musician and its a real honor to see him play.

that review could have given a lot more respect to a lad who has earnt his stripes through real graft… instead of cut and pasting in gobshite music industry bullshit during a time when even the best musicians (hello zutons just dropped by Sony) are struggling to stay afloat in a sinking, malfunctioning industry.

it was a great gig and a great night. howie payne was feckin amazin and the bees are fantastic live. static should keep up the live gigs.

I agree with thee about Static, but a few of the ships mentioned above sailed some time ago.
